Background: Georgia was made at SFC and is a 2nd generation of our program. She retired early due to an emergency c-section that she inquired on her 2nd litter. We believe that our dogs should not be bred after a c-section because it causes so much trauma to our mama dogs. Georgia is a young adult female, age  2.5 years old. She has been raised indoors only all of her life. She loves to sleep in a dog bed and not a crate; although she is 100% crate trained, she has been a bit spoiled.  She is shy at first to meeting strangers. She would do best in a home without small children and only adults, and we suggest this because our children are grown and she hasn't been around younger children very much. She tends to prefer one human and usually a female but does fine with my husband and three teenage sons. She enjoys playing with toys, laying on the couch, playing outside and running. She likes water, play pools, and socks for playing tug-of-war. She enjoys the companionship of other Chihuahuas, so she would do best in a home with other small dogs.  She has recently been vet checked and just had her spay completed Her shots are up to date, including her heart worm prevention. She can go up and down stairs easily with or without carpeting. She does use pee pads if they are down and available to use. Georgia is treat ambitious as well. She eats adult Purina Pro Plan, lamb and rice, small bites.  She gets car sick in the car and does vomit. This may or may not go away  with more trips in the car. I will be more than happy to allow a meet in greet in a public location if you are interested in meeting Georgia, with an approved application submitted.

I would prefer whomever tries to apply to her to come to Salem, and not be in a hurry. A lot of my Washington customers try to do an adoption and drive home in one day. This would work, but you need to be prepared to drive Georgia back to me if the placement does not work out. Puppy application must already be submitted and pre-approved prior to the meet in greet.  All adult dogs have a 14 day money back guarantee if the dog does not work out for you in your home. The dog must be brought back to the original location of pick up by scheduled appointment, and a refund will be issued to you within 30 days, minus any fees you may have had during the initial adoption. We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want her next home to be her forever home. To submit an application for Georgia, please use our puppy application for consideration.

  • Please be aware that Georgia is from a breeding home. She will not be fully potty trained in a new environment and will take patience and the ability to retrain to establish a new routine

  • Must be local or within driving distance of Salem, Oregon

  • No shipping available

  • Meet in greet required to see if you're a match for her after application has been submitted and approved
