Background: Jasper was born and raised here at SFC. He is a  4th generation of our program lines. He recently retired from our program. He comes to you neutered  and fully health tested and young so he can live a long life with his new forever family! He is a double smooth coat, chocolate and tan. He has a very short muzzle and is a very beautiful little male Chihuahua. He does well with most other males but can be a little dominant at times, especially around females. We do anticipate this behavior to improve if not go away once he is removed from an environment with intact female. He is pee pad trained and dog door trained. We use bellybands on our males in our house and we recommend using them as well, especially at first. Jasper does get motion sickness in the car. He can be a bit shy with new people so he will need time and patience to acclimate in his new home with his new family. He is treat motivated which is a plus for training! He is not leash trained. He does enjoy being held on the couch or in your arms. He will not use stairs. He will do great in a home with or without small children. His health testing links above do work for viewing. He has had his eyes, heart and patellas (knees) all cleared by the OFA. 

Because he is coming from a breeding environment, we encourage you to have patience and retrain him to a new routine. He eats Purina ProPlan and loves it. He is crate trained.  We require that you will keep in touch with us if you want to adopt him.  It generally takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn a new routine, and 3 months to start to feel at home. We do require that you submit a puppy application for consideration.
