Background: Lincoln was born at SFC. His parents are both retired now- Ryleigh & Luke. Lincoln was born on the 4th of July, in 2022. He is a black Merle spotted on white, smooth coat male. He was a runt in his litter and required a lot of additional care in order to help him thrive. Due to his early issues with failure to thrive, his vaccines were started and completed later than normal, as well as his Rabies, but all have been completed. He has since been neutered and received one dental. He does have a significant malocclusion (overbite) but it doesn't hinder his ability to eat or chew on toys and bones. It just isn't a trait for breeding or showing, but he has been an exceptional pet. Lincoln is pee pad trained and dog door trained and also is used to wearing a male belly band in our house to prevent unwanted marking. Lincoln does good in the car and loves to be with humans. He loves other dogs and toys! He is a happy-go-lucky boy and has many years of companionship to offer you.
He isn't leash trained since we own property and he runs and runs, but he is super smart and can be taught to wear a harness and walked on a leash.
We require that you will keep in touch with us if you want to adopt him. It generally takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn a new routine, and 3 months to start to feel at home. We do require that you submit a puppy application for consideration. This is not a first come first serve placement. The application fee is non-refundable. I will allow public meet in greets for local families.
We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want his next home to be his forever home. To submit an application for Lincoln, please use our puppy/dog application for consideration.
