Background: Sydnee is made by us! She has recently retired from our breeding program. She is a 3rd generation. We wish so  much we could keep her, but we have too many forever pets and we think she will be happier in an environment with more one on one attention. For now, she is happy because that's all she knows. She will take a while to settle in to a new home with a new family. She is loyal to the core and very affectionate and smart. She was recently spayed and was a wonderful mom to her babies. Her babies are placed all over the US and are very much adored. Sydnee will surely be missed. Her nickname is Mama Syd. You can try to change it but she knows it pretty well. This girl does great in the car, great on outings, loves her dog stroller. She isn't great on a leash, but that's honestly because we don't use them very much. When I am not around, she is a great dog and friendly. When I am around, she feels like she needs to guard me and she is a bit shy. I know from feedback after leaving her at the vet for previous dentals and her spay, she was a good girl and is easily handled. She is not the best at potty training, but we do believe that can be fixed with a patient and consistent home to show her what you want.  She is currently on a normal diet of Purina ProPlan. She is is healthy and didn't retire from any health issues. We opted to retire her due to her age and how many litters she whelped. She is young enough to provide many years of companionship to a new home.  Sydnee is a black merle spotted on white. Her coat is normally fluffy and does require some minimal grooming. Her coat at the moment is very thin because she just weaned her final litter at SFC. Hormones do affect a coat on a dog. Sydnee has not been brought up around small children or cats, so we are unsure of how she will do with these, but we are not saying she can't be in a home with either. She does well with other dogs, especially Chihuahuas. She has had a dental, she is up to date on all core immunizations. She is microchipped and that can be transferred to a new owner easily.  She has been fully health tested- which means she was genetically health tested with Embark, and she was routinely checked for any health concerns by our primary vet.  She has her patellas and heart both certified with the orthopedic foundation for animals. All health testing links are above for review. She wears cute little doggy clothes well. She is dog door trained and can use the stairs. Please consider adopting her!  I'm happy to allow you to meet her after you send us in an application and it has been pre-approved. I've noticed that over the years, once a female is no longer around other intact females, their marking tendency can be minimized.

I would prefer whomever tries to apply to him to come to Salem, and not be in a hurry. A lot of my Washington customers try to do an adoption and drive home in one day. This would work, but you need to be prepared to drive Sydnee back to me if the placement does not work out. A puppy application must already be submitted and pre-approved prior to the meet in greet.  All adult dogs have a 14 day money back guarantee if the dog does not work out for you in your home. The dog must be brought back to the original location of pick up by scheduled appointment, and a refund will be issued to you within 30 days, minus any fees you may have had during the initial adoption. We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want her next home to be her forever home. To submit an application for Sydnee, please use our puppy application for consideration.

  • Please be aware that Sydnee is from a breeding home. She will not be fully potty trained in a new environment and will take patience and the ability to retrain to establish a new routine

  • Please read the post below about the 3/3/3 rule! Not one dog is like another and you need to be open minded when adopting an adult dog who is very used to their current environment

  • Must be local or within driving distance of Salem, Oregon

  • No shipping available

  • Meet in greet required to see if you're a match for her after application has been submitted and approved
