Background: Wyatt is a long coat Chocolate Tri, male Chihuahua. He was born and raised at SFC and is a 3rd generation of our program. He just turned two years old so he has a lot of great years ahead of him to offer to a new home. Wyatt is a character, full of charisma, witty charm and kisses. He loves water, toys and other dogs. He is not a dominant (alpha) male. He will do great in a home with or without small children. Wyatt loves to run and play, but he is a climber and jumper. He can also bark a lot if ignored or he wants something.  Because he is coming from a breeding environment, we encourage you to have patience and retrain him to a new routine. At this time he is pee pad trained and uses a dog door to use the yard. We keep our boys in bellybands to help with marking, but once a dog is removed from a breeding environment, they tend to do so much better with marking tendencies. The belly bands can be purchased off of Amazon and easily washed in the washing machine. We will also send some home with him too! He will be neutered before leaving us, and from experience and feedback from our previous clients, once a male is removed from a setting that there are intact female dogs, potty training can be reintroduced and he can be taught to stop the marking in the home. He eats Purina ProPlan and loves it. He isn't leash trained since we own property and he runs and runs, but he is super smart and can be taught to wear a harness and walked on a leash. This is a dog that would love to join you camping, hiking, fishing, etc. He loves the outdoors. He does fine in the car. He loves to snuggle in your bed, but will also sleep in a dog bed. He is crate trained, but he can climb out of any pen without a top, so please keep that in mind.  Wyatt is a fully health tested male. He has been genetically health tested through Embark Vet. He has had his patellas, eyes and heart all certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. He is from many generations of health tested dogs.  We require that you will keep in touch with us if you want to adopt him.  It generally takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn a new routine, and 3 months to start to feel at home. We do require that you submit a puppy application for consideration. This is not a first come first serve placement. The application fee is non-refundable. I will allow public meet in greets for local families.

We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want his next home to be his forever home. To submit an application for Wyatt, please use our puppy application for consideration.

  • Please be aware that Wyatt is from a breeding home.

  • Shipping available to the right home and application

  • Meet in greet encouraged but not required
