The puppies listed on this page are currently available for adoption. A non-refundable holding fee is required to reserve a puppy until they are ready to join their new home. We generally accept holding fees on Dachshund puppies up to 7 weeks of age. If a puppy is older than 7 weeks, full payment will be required to place a hold unless otherwise noted. Holding fee amounts can be found on the Deposits tab above or listed alongside each available puppy. Puppies are typically ready to leave for their new homes at 9 weeks of age or older. In some cases, a puppy may be ready at 8 weeks, which is the earliest we allow our puppies to leave The Oregon Wienery. Each puppy is evaluated individually, and release dates are determined based on what we feel is in the best interest of that puppy. We make every effort to keep the “Pending” status updated in a timely manner; however, availability is not guaranteed until the required holding fee or payment has been received and confirmed.

➡️ Please Note:

• Holding fees are non-refundable, but may be transferable to another available puppy with a transfer fee according to the terms of our contract.

• Puppies are only placed with approved applicants. An application is required and includes a $25 non-refundable application fee.

• Puppies will not be listed for adoption until they are at least 3 weeks old. Our breeding program always receives first consideration from every litter, and we reserve the right to hold back or continue evaluating any puppy before making them available for adoption.

🐾 Our Dachshund Waiting List

We have transitioned away from our previous numbered Priority Waiting List. While we carefully plan each pairing, Mother Nature ultimately determines litter size, sex, coat type, color, and pattern. Because many families are looking for very specific traits, carrying families from one litter to another made a numbered selection system increasingly difficult to manage fairly. Approved families may join our Dachshund Waiting List and let us know what they are hoping for in a future puppy, including preferences for sex, coat, color, and pattern. Our Waiting List is not numbered and does not reserve a puppy from a specific litter. Being on the Waiting List does not guarantee a puppy, a particular litter, selection order, or any specific sex, coat, color, or pattern. Once a litter is born and thriving, we allow the puppies time to grow and develop before making placement decisions. Our breeding program always receives first consideration from every litter, and we may retain or continue evaluating puppies before determining which puppies will be offered for adoption. When puppies become available, we will contact approved families on our Waiting List whose preferences may be a good match for the puppies we have. Waiting List families will have the opportunity to consider these puppies before they are offered to the general public.

Waiting List families must remain responsive. If we contact you regarding a puppy that reasonably matches the preferences you provided, we ask that you respond promptly—even if your answer is simply that you would like to pass and continue waiting. If we do not receive a response, you will be removed from our Waiting List. Because there is no additional fee to remain on the Waiting List beyond the original application fee, we cannot continue holding inactive families on the list or repeatedly attempt to make contact. You are always welcome to submit a new application in the future if your circumstances change. Passing on a puppy does not automatically remove you from the Waiting List. We understand that the right puppy may not be produced in every litter, particularly when you have specific preferences. However, repeated passes may mean a longer wait, and no particular puppy, litter, or timeframe can be guaranteed. Families with very specific preferences should be prepared for a potentially longer wait. We cannot predict or guarantee what Mother Nature will produce in any particular litter. Once puppies are officially listed as available to the public on our website, approved families may inquire about a specific puppy.

🐾 Pricing & Puppy Information

• Prices for Dachshund puppies start at $1,800 for males and $2,500 for females. Base prices do not qualify for any form of discount.

• Estimated adult weights are estimates only and may be updated as a puppy grows. We anticipate our puppies will generally mature at approximately 10 lbs and up. We cannot guarantee the future adult weight of any Dachshund puppy.

• Prices listed are for Limited AKC Registration, meaning you agree to spay or neuter the puppy as outlined in our mutual contract.

• Full AKC Registration may be available on select puppies for an additional charge. If you are interested in Full AKC Registration, please include information on your application regarding your plans to breed, previous breeding experience, and reasons for breeding. Full AKC is considered on a case-by-case basis and is not available to every applicant or on every puppy.

• Prices are subject to change at the seller’s discretion while a puppy remains available without a holding fee. Once the required holding fee has been received and confirmed, the puppy’s listed purchase price is locked in.

• All of our puppies come with a one-year limited genetic health guarantee.
