Ana was born here at SFC and has recently retired from our breeding program. She is up to date on all of her core vaccinations, including Rabies, and has been fully health tested—just like our breeding dogs. Her microchip is ready for transfer to a new home. 

This includes:
✔️ Genetic health testing via Embark (clear of all breed-relevant conditions)
✔️ OFA Certified:
– Patellas: Normal
– Heart: Clear of murmur
– Eyes: Certified by an ophthalmologist

You can verify her health clearances on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) database.

🐾 Ana’s Personality & Training

Ana is a very sweet, gentle soul with a calm nature. She is:

• Pee pad trained

• Dog door trained

• Pen & crate trained

• NOT currently leash trained

She enjoys the company of other Chihuahuas, loves warm blankets and laundry, and can often be found sunbathing or digging for worms. She adores toys, chewies, water play, and loves to play with other dogs. She would make a great companion to your other dog if you are looking for this type of new dog. Ana loves the company of other Chihuahuas. She will quickly adapt to being a new friend to another dog, but she may be slower to adapt to a new human owner. Please be patient with her. She is really a sweet soul! Ana is not the typical "velcro" type Chihuahua so if you are looking for that kind of new companion, I would encourage you to consider our other available retirees. Ana is going to make a great pet to someone who wants a second dog but more of a friend to their current dog. 

She may be a little shy at first in a new setting or with new people—but once she settles in, she truly blossoms into a loving little companion.

🏠 What She’s Looking For

Ana would thrive in a home:

• With other dogs, preferably with at least one other Chihuahua 

• That may include small children or cats, although she has NOT been around small children before, nor cats! 

• Willing to be patient while she adjusts

Potty Training Disclaimer:
While she is potty trained here, we cannot guarantee she will be in a new environment. Like all of our rehomed adults, we recommend being open-minded and ready to reintroduce her to a new routine.

• Application required and must be pre-approved

• Meet & greets available (scheduled Tuesday–Friday during our puppy pickup dates only)

• Shipping available (at adopter’s expense; return shipping also your responsibility if rehoming doesn’t work out)

• Her name can be changed!

• Local or out of state home welcomed!
