Piperis a very special girl who has been lovingly raised here at Salem’s Finest Chihuahuas. As a 3rd generation of our program, she represents years of thoughtful breeding, care, and dedication. She is a stunning blue Merle smooth coat female, weighing right around 8 lbs—a beautiful, balanced size for the breed.
Piper has been an integral part of our breeding program and has truly blessed us over the years with a couple beautiful litters. She is such a sweet, loving little girl and is now ready to transition into the next chapter of her life—one filled with cozy nights snuggled in bed and quiet moments by your side on the couch as your devoted companion. 💛 Piper is an extremely happy girl who loves to play with other dogs or with people. She will complete any household who is missing a devoted companion. Anyone who adopts Piper is lucky! She is one of my favorite girls.
Piper has been pre-loved, pre-spoiled, and deeply cherished during her time with us. She is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and well-mannered, with a calm and easygoing nature. She’s also a minimal barker (a rare gem for the breed!) and does wonderfully with people.
She is well established in her routine and comes with a great foundation:
-
Up to date on all core immunizations and Rabies
🐾Piper's Personality & Training
She has a solid foundation in the home and is:
-
Crate trained
-
Pen trained
-
Dog door trained
-
Pee pad trained
-
Easy to bathe and trim nails
-
Used to sleeping in bed under the covers or in a bed nearby
Piper is not currently leash trained, but she is a very intuitive and eager girl who should transition to leash work nicely with a bit of guidance and consistency.
She does well with other dogs and has a naturally easygoing, adaptable personality. While she hasn’t had direct exposure to cats, I do feel she would adjust well with slow, proper introductions. Piper has not been raised around small children or larger breed dogs (bigger than Dachshunds).
New owner is required to have Piper spayed within 120 days of adoption.
Piper is ready for a quieter, more personalized lifestyle where she can truly bond with her person. After living in a structured breeding environment, she will thrive in a home where she can enjoy companionship, routine, and one-on-one attention. She is affectionate, loyal, and has a calm, steady presence that makes her such a joy to have around.
She is more than just a retired girl—she is a well-loved, well-rounded companion who is ready to be someone’s whole world.
If you are looking for a sweet, stable, and loving Chihuahua to welcome into your home, Piper may be the perfect fit.
She enjoys being around other dogs and people, though she may be a bit reserved initially. With time, patience, and proper decompression, her confidence will continue to grow beautifully. 💛
She may be a little shy at first in a new setting or with new people—but once she settles in, she truly blossoms into a loving little companion.
🏠 What She’s Looking For
Piper would thrive in a home:
-
With other small breed dogs for companionship
-
That may include cats
-
Willing to be patient while she adjusts
Potty Training Disclaimer:
While she is potty trained here, we cannot guarantee she will be in a new environment. Like all of our rehomed adults, we recommend being open-minded and ready to reintroduce her to a new routine.
Please also read our post below on the 3-3-3 Rule—it helps outline what to expect during a dog’s transition period.
