Background: Delilah was born at SFC. She was held back because she is 5th generation of our program and her mama retired early and we wanted to hold onto our bloodline. Due to some recent changes, we have opted to place her in a pet home or small in home breeder with an approved application. She is genetically a Merle but her Merle is not visible because she is an atypical Merle as confirmed by UC Davis in further health testing. She is fully health tested with Embark, OFA (Eyes, patellas, heart), CHIC certified and UC Davis for her Merle sine length. She is up to date on all DA2PP's and Rabies. She is microchipped. Delilah can have her name changed. Her parents are retired Savvi and retired Dallas. She is extremely outgoing and fun. She loves people and all of her canine companions. She is not leash trained. She is potty pad trained and trained to go outside to go potty and uses a doggy door. She is treat motivated. She does get a little motion sickness in the car. She has a pretty docile personality and I think she would blend into a household very well given time and patience. She does well with both men and women. She is a minimal barker. She is easy to groom and trim her nails. Delilah has not been around any small children, but she is very young, so I think she would do fine. We do not have any cats or large breed dogs so we cannot confirm how she would behave with either of those other household pets.

Delilah is coming from a breeding environment so will need to be potty trained in a new environment. At this time she is used to indoor potty pads and a dog door to use her yard. This typically improves after alteration and when they are removed from a breeding environment, but please do not attempt to adopt her if you are wanting a fully house trained animal. Like every animal we post for rehoming, we hope you would understand that they will have accidents initially and will need patience! We have rehomed a lot of dogs over the years and they all seem to mesh into a new environment fairly well with time and patience. She is a very loving companion and would be an ideal pet for someone who needs a constant friend nearby. Please consider Delilah for your home and family.

Pet home agrees to have her spayed within 90 days after adoption.

Small breeding home is responsible to transfer AKC ownership and pay the fee.

She has been genetically health tested with Embark and is clear in all breed relevant categories.

We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want her next home to be her forever home. To submit an application for Delilah, please use our puppy/dog application for consideration.

  • Please be aware that Delilah is from a breeding home. She will not be fully potty trained in a new environment and will take patience and the ability to retrain to establish a new routine

  • Please read the post below about the 3/3/3 rule! Not one dog is like another and you need to be open minded when adopting an adult dog who is very used to their current environment

  • Shipping available

  • If you do need shipping arrangements made, you are in agreement that you would ship her back at your expense!

  • Meet in greet is preferred but not required

  • Application required

  • Fun fact to an interested breeder! Delilah and Gizmo can be a breeding pair! Delilah and Cypress could also be a potential breeding pair!
