Background: Bruce was not born at SFC but came to us as a puppy. He is named after Bruce Willis. Bruce is a gentle soul and sensitive. He loves people, but he has to warm up to you so please give him time. He enjoys playing with other dogs, he loves toys, water, chewies and rolling in the grass. He has been a wonderful dog. He just turned two years old. We took him for his routine annual exam and our vet heard a light murmur so we scheduled a second opinion with our cardiologist and she also heard the murmur too but it really was hard to find and hear. She diagnosed him with early onset mitral valve dystrophy. He has no signs of a heart murmur or heart disease and he could potentially live his entire life without any changes, or he may have changes that could progress and require heart medications. We just don't know. Only time will provide answers. We have elected to have him neutered and removed from our program for breeding. He will come up to date on all core immunizations as well as a dental cleaning. 

 We do not have any cats or small children in our home, but we are open to a home with who may have either. Please be cautious with small children and adopted dogs! He does well in the car. He is not leash trained. He is NOT potty trained. He uses bellybands in our home or washable pee pads or our doggy door to the fenced yard. He loves his fenced in yard but he would be fine in an apartment setting too. Bruce grunts and snores due to his short muzzle. He is microchipped.
