Background: Kordelia was born at SFC and we had kept her back as a breeding prospect. Unfortunatly, at her preliminary exam, a minor (grade 1) luxating patella was discovered on her left knee. Due to this early diagnosis, we are opting to have her placed in a pet home only. Luxation of the patellas are very common in this breed. Her patella could get worse over time, or it could remain the same. We are unable to make any guarantees. We just know that we are working hard to eliminate this from our adult breeding dogs. Kordelia is a black long coat female with a great temperament. She does not know her name well so we are confident it can be changed. Like any of our other dogs we have available for adoption, we follow the 3-3-3 rule so please allow for time for her to adjust by using the chart below. She will need to be shown your potty training process and it may take time before she gets this. She is used to having access to a dog door or pee pads for indoor relief. She will be required to be spayed by her new owner within one year of her adoption. She has already had one heat cycle. We feel she would be fine in a home with larger dogs, small children or cats. She did get a bit motion sickness on our last trip to the vet so car rides will need to be done frequently to break the motion sickness tendencies. She is treat motivated and can easily adapt to a new home! She is a little shy in new settings and with new people, but once she is comfortable she really is a sweet, sweet little love bug.
