Mastaciya was born here at SFC and has recently retired from our breeding program. Due to needing an emergency c-section, sadly without any surviving pups, we opted to have her spayed during her surgery. (We do not believe in continuing to breed a dog who has had a c-section. It puts too much stress on the uterus and risk for our dam.) She is up to date on all of her core vaccinations, including Rabies, and has been fully health tested—just like our breeding dogs. Her microchip is ready for transfer to a new home. 

This includes:
✔️ Genetic health testing via Embark (clear of all breed-relevant conditions)
✔️ OFA Certified:
– Patellas: Normal
– Heart: Clear of murmur
– Eyes: Certified by an ophthalmologist

🐾 Mastaciya's Personality & Training

Mastaciya is a very sweet, gentle soul with a calm nature. She is:

• Pee pad trained

• Dog door trained

• Pen & crate trained

• NOT currently leash trained

She enjoys the company of other Chihuahuas, loves warm blankets and laundry, and can often be found sunbathing or digging for worms. She adores toys, chewies, water play, and is eager to please her special human. She seems to be a one person type of dog. She will bond to a woman easier than a man, although she doesn't have any issues with the men in our home. She will take time to settle in, but once settled she is a very, very affectionate girl and does seek out attention and wants to join you on the couch and bed. She gives tons of kisses. She loves to do the begging position and is treat motivated which will help! She can be easily spooked so please be cautious of her needs. She can be "yappy" with new people coming to visit that she doesn't know but does eventually quiet down. She can definitely have her name changed. We named her this because she has a half mustache and we found it fitting! 

She may be a little shy at first in a new setting or with new people—but once she settles in, she truly blossoms into a loving little companion.

🏠 What She’s Looking For

Mastaciya would thrive in a home:

• With other dogs (including larger breeds) or a single dog home

• That may include cats

• We are unsure how she would do with small children

• Willing to be patient while she adjusts

• Food monitoring to help her lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle

Potty Training Disclaimer:
While she is potty trained here, we cannot guarantee she will be in a new environment. Like all of our rehomed adults, we recommend being open-minded and ready to reintroduce her to a new routine.

• Meet & greets available (scheduled Tuesday–Thursday during our puppy pickup dates only)

• Shipping available (at adopter’s expense; return shipping also your responsibility if rehoming doesn’t work out)

• Her name can be changed!

• Local or out of state home welcomed!
