Background: Hazel was born and raised at SFC for the last 2.5 years. She sits right at about 5.0 lbs in size. She is a chocolate & tan smooth coat female. She has never been bred, although we had planned to and completed all of her health testing. She passed everything. She has a very narrow pelvis though and we feel it would be best to not risk breeding Hazel and to spay and place her in a forever pet home. She is used to sleeping in bed under the covers. She is crate trained, pen trained and dog door trained. She does excellent in the car and with people. Hazel is a 4th generation of our program.  She has been pre-loved, pre-spoiled and cherished during her time with us. She is incredibly friendly and just an overall wonderful Chihuahua. She is a minimal barker believe it or not!   She has been a very healthy girl and has had consistent health care provided to her. She is scheduled to be spayed and our vet always does a final dental to be sure our Chis leave with shiny and healthy teeth. The links above for her Embark and OFA should be accurate to show her health screenings we have completed. Hazel is not leash trained but I really don't foresee her not catching on to this when you go to walk her on a leash. Hazel is easy to bathe and trim nails. She is pee pad trained and dog door trained as well as crate trained. For the most part Hazel uses the pee pads when inside and uses the grass when outside for potty time. She does very well with both. Hazel does well with both men or woman, but has not been brought up around small children so we would prefer a home without children in the home full time. I believe Hazel would also do well with cats or large breed dogs.

We encourage all prospective adopters to really think this through and not take on a dog that may not work for you. We want her next home to be her forever home. To submit an application for Hazel, please use our puppy application for consideration.

  • Please be aware that London is from a breeding home. She will not be fully potty trained in a new environment and will take patience and the ability to retrain to establish a new routine

  • Please read the post below about the 3/3/3 rule! Not one dog is like another and you need to be open minded when adopting an adult dog who is very used to their current environment

  • Shipping available (new owner agrees to pay for return shipping if placement doesn't work out)

  • Meet in greet encouraged but not required
