Mastaciya was born here at SFC and has recently retired from our breeding program. Due to needing an emergency c-section, sadly without any surviving pups, we opted to have her spayed during her surgery. (We do not believe in continuing to breed a dog who has had a c-section. It puts too much stress on the uterus and risk for our dam.) She is up to date on all of her core vaccinations, including Rabies, and has been fully health tested—just like our breeding dogs. Her microchip is ready for transfer to a new home. 

This includes:
✔️ Genetic health testing via Embark (clear of all breed-relevant conditions)
✔️ OFA Certified:
– Patellas: Normal
– Heart: Clear of murmur
– Eyes: Certified by an ophthalmologist

🐾 Mastaciya's Personality & Training

Mastaciya is a very sweet, gentle soul with a calm nature. She is:

• Pee pad trained

• Dog door trained

• Pen & crate trained

• NOT currently leash trained

Mastaciya is a unique and special girl with a personality that truly shines once she feels safe and settled. She enjoys the company of other Chihuahuas and thrives in a home where she has canine companionship, so her new home must have another younger small breed dog.

She loves all the cozy comforts in life—warm blankets, fresh laundry piles, sunbathing, and even a little backyard exploring (she’s quite fond of digging for worms!). Mastaciya also enjoys toys, chewies, and water play, and she is eager to please her special person.

Mastaciya is very much a one-person type of dog. She tends to bond more quickly with women, though she does not have issues with men in the home. She may be a little shy at first in a new setting or with new people, but once she settles in, she truly blossoms into a very affectionate, loving companion. She seeks out attention, wants to be close to you on the couch or in bed, and gives endless kisses to her person.

She can be easily spooked, so it’s important that her new home is mindful of her sensitivity and gives her the time and space she needs to feel secure. She may be a bit “yappy” when new people visit, but she does settle once she realizes everything is okay.

Mastaciya has had two meet-and-greets and was previously adopted but returned due to unforeseen circumstances that were not her fault. Because of this, it is especially important that her next home is patient, committed, and willing to give her the time she needs to fully decompress and acclimate. She will not be an instant transition, but she is absolutely worth the wait.

She can absolutely have her name changed—we named her Mastaciya because of her adorable little half mustache, which we thought was fitting!

Mastaciya is looking for a calm, understanding home that will allow her to settle at her own pace and build trust naturally. In return, she will give you a deep, loyal bond and so much love.

• We are unsure how she would do with small children

Potty Training Disclaimer:
While she is potty trained here, we cannot guarantee she will be in a new environment. Like all of our rehomed adults, we recommend being open-minded and ready to reintroduce her to a new routine.

• Shipping available (at adopter’s expense; return shipping also your responsibility if rehoming doesn’t work out)

• Local or out of state home welcomed!
