Color/Coat/Markings: Blue & Tan, long coat. Calamity has mild CDA, Color dilution alopecia. It is currently affecting the back sides of her ears. Her coat is not full or very fluffy. Although she is a long coat, she has a poor coat quality. I cannot confirm if her coat will worsen or remain the same.

Calamity is partially health tested and certified, including:

• Embark Genetic Panel: 100% clear of all breed-relevant conditions​

  • Patellas: Normal

  • Heart: Clear

  • Her Patellas/Cardiac examination were not submitted to the OFA due to not choosing to use her in our program, but the paperwork is available to the new home as well as her annual exam showing the clearances of these areas. 

Vaccination Status:

• Rabies: 1-year vaccine, current

• DA2PP: Up to date

🐶 About Calamity

Calamity was born and raised at Salem’s Finest Chihuahuas. She is a 5th-generation SFC girl—we originally held her back to retain our lines. Due to her poor coat quality, we have opted to not use her in our breeding program plans. However, this doesn't change the fact that she is a normal, spunky well-rounded young lady and she would make an exceptional companion to a home.

💕 Personality & Training

Calamity is incredibly outgoing, sweet, and affectionate. She thrives around people and other dogs and would do well in a home that gives her time, love, and patience.

She is:

• Potty pad trained

• Dog door trained (goes outside to potty)

• Treat motivated

• Crate trained

• A minimal barker

• Not leash trained yet

• Easy to groom and trim nails

• Docile and social with both men and women

• Has not been exposed to small children, large dogs, or cats

She will likely need potty training reinforcement in a new environment, especially during her adjustment phase. Most dogs improve quickly once altered and removed from a breeding setting, but accidents are to be expected in the beginning.
